About Us

We are a for-profit company dedicated to the future financial success of our youth. We are a debt-free company with a cash-only philosophy. Our company offers financial education as well as community mentorship. We work with kids ages 8-18 but we know that even adults need help as well. That's why parents can come free to any or all of the classes their children attend. We believe that money know-how is not a taboo topic; it's a family affair! Here are the classes we offer:

Money Basics (3rd- 5th ) (5th- 8th Grade)

Introduces your child to money management. Students will learn how to budget, save, and invest money. Students will create a spending diary, make a budget, and learn about banking and balancing a checkbook. During our class sessions, we will cover assets and liabilities and the two very different spending cycles that exist in our economy. Students will also create money goals and create a plan of action in order to achieve those goals. At the end of the class, students will receive a certificate of completion.

Be An Entrepreneur (6th - 8th grade)
Introduces your child to the world of business. Students will learn what an entrepreneur is and how to be one. Students will discover their unique talents and abilities and learn how they can put those skills to work for them. During class sessions, we will cover such topics as: target markets, business plans, revenue models, and marketing. Each student will create a business and present their business idea to the class. Certificate upon completion.

On My OWN (9th-12th grade)

 

During this session, students will be creating a mock grown-up life. Students will learn about the difference between an entrepreneur and an employee, and then select a career path. Students will create a budget and set some fun life goals. Students will also gain a basic understanding between assets and liabilities. We will be having a basic discussion on saving, spending, and investing. During the rest of the sessions, students will be selecting Life Cards that will impact their mock grown-up life and learn how to adjust to the opportunities and misfortunes that come their way.

History of project

_{This company was founded in July of 2007 out of the desire to teach financial education to children. There was a perceived lack of this kind of education here in Muskegon County and KID$ CA$H CONNECTION was formed to meet that need. We are currently serving children here in Muskegon County, Michigan, with the vision to spread this organization throughout the state and then throughout the United States. We are filling the need for financial education for children by offering classes that teach money management and entrepreneurship in a fun, supportive environment where children can network with others like themselves and assist in helping others to achieve their dreams and goals. We also provide them with mentors to support them in their business endeavors.}
